Y5 & Y6 Christmas Party

Today we held the Year 5 & Year 6 Christmas Party. The children had a great time, especially during the Year 5 V Year 6 Dance-off.

Today, we welcomed back The Holly and the Ivy music group, who entertained us all with traditional Christmas stories and songs. The children were captivated and participated in some of the songs with great enthusiasm. It was a lovely way to end the Autumn Term.

Y5 & Y6 Ice Skating at the Centre for Life, Newcastle

Years 5 & 6 spent a day visiting The Centre for Life, where they took part in an Ice-skating session, warmed up with hot chocolate, visited the planetarium and they took part in a Science show. They had a fantastic time.

The choir sang beautifully at The Big Sing last night, singing with choirs from our cluster primary schools – St Bede’s, Jarrow, St Mary’s and St Josephs. It was a lovely celebration and fantastic to see so many people in St Matthew’s Church.

A Celtic Journey

Year 5 were amazing on Friday evening. Along with St Aloysius and St Peter and Paul’s schools and More Dance they presented the story of the Northern Saints through drama and dance in St Aloysius Church. The church was packed! Well done Year 5, I’m sure everyone there thoroughly enjoyed it.

Family Christmas Craft Afternoon

Many of our families spent the afternoon working together to design their annual family Christmas Cards. We had some fantastic designs and it was lovely to see so many of our families working together.
