Sunderland AFC visit St Matthews!

Sunderland AFC visit St Matthews!

There was so much excitement in school yesterday afternoon, when St Matthew’s were asked to host a media afternoon for Sunderland AFC and Tesco Bank. Year 6 spent the afternoon being coached by the Foundation of Light and even experienced playing competitively against Sunderland players, Bryan Oviedo and Donald Love. Playing in front of the Sky Sports News cameras, the children demonstrated their excellent throwing and catching skills and talked tactics with the Sunderland players. What a fantastic opportunity! Well done Y6!
