The Evolution of Us- A Musical Journey 2006-2017: The Year 6 Leaver’s Video

As an ending to tonight’s production, we created a Leaver’s Video, similar in style to ‘The Evolution of Dance’, but with our own twist. Taking a song from each year from 2006-2017, many of the songs have been familiar to the children through school discos and events- we thought it was a very fitting conclusion to their time with us- demonstrating their unique personalities, their humour and their confidence! Bishop’s Cup 2017 – Runners-up

Last Tuesday, the football team competed in the final of the Bishop’s Cup. Their first match was against St Mary Magdalene, Seaham, who were a really good footballing team and unfortunately nerves got the better of them and they lost 3-0. QuadKids Athletics – Key Stage 2

Last week, we took 35 children from Key Stage 2 to Monkton Stadium to take part in the South Tyneside QuadKids Athletic Tournament. Yesterday, Year 6 attended the Port of Tyne South Tyneside Cricket Finals. The girls team played incredibly well in the morning – playing against very strong opposition from Mortimer and St Bede’s, South Shields.
