Our trip to Toby Carvery by Meg Spedding and Luke Duffy Y5
On Monday 6th October, Y5 went to Toby Carvery in Cleadon Village. We went there because in our science lessons, we have been studying healthy eating and finding out what our body needs to keep healthy.
While we were at the Toby Carvery, we played a game called ‘Guess the Vegetable’ ( bushtucker trial ). Our friends Meg and Cameron took the challenge on, whilst the rest of us tried to guess what the vegetables were.
We had to play the A –Z game, where we had to name as many fruits and vegetables as we could going down the alphabet. After that the chef came to see us, then we asked him some questions about being a chef. We found out that he worked 14 hours a day! The best part was when we had our Sunday dinner.
We had lots of vegetables, and a tasty, giant Yorkshire pudding with gravy and a choice of meats. We also had a delicious ice cream for pudding with a flake and a choice of sauce (chocolate or strawberry). Year 5 thought it was the best trip ever!!!
