Pentecost work from Year 4

Year 4 have been producing some lovely RE work this week in their virtual classroom. For their challenge from CAFOD, they had to choose their own task and think about the meaning of Pentecost. Well done to Sam B, Harry and Isla for their lovely work. More work to follow! Mrs Torley

What a fantastic evening of music and dance from our four cluster primary schools last night. All of he children performed beautifully and really helped to create a truly joyful occasion for our local community. Well done to all!

A huge congratulations to the children who have made their First Holy Communion. The children all looked beautiful and their celebratory Mass was wonderful. A special thank you to all the catechists who have prepared the children for this special day.

Bishop Robert Byrne was welcomed by the school children of Hexham and Newcastle yesterday. Max and Evie, two of our Mini Vinnies represented St Matthew’s and were lucky enough to meet him at the end of the Mass. We look forward to welcoming Bishop Robert to our school community soon.
